As many of you have written, the youtube video library is growing and imporving by the day and we are all inspired by the contributions of our Idaho Brother. Who shall remain anonymous! My plan is to be sold out of Just Aircraft inventory by mid July so I can take a much needed vacation at the end of Oshkosh and head out west for some recreational flying. June is a training month for me so I have been under pressure for time this month and unable to fly down to the Everglades and Keys as I had planned.
I have been visiting friends in North Florida on some of the small fields around and had the pleasure of landing a 900' strip that is basically the owners front yard last weekend. He is sold on the Highlander.
In the past few months I recieved several calls from people interesed in the StingSport as a primary flight training aircraft. In 2006 I worked extensively with the TL support team to make improvements to the areas I felt important for a primary aircrafts durability under training practice. Most notably, I wanted trainers to have Grove or Matco wheels and brakes as well as reinforcment of the firewall nose gear attachment point. To my knowledge this aircraft has not been fitted with the changes and I would caution using the TL-2000 for anything other then advanced pilot check out training. It is the nicest flying airframe in light sport and can be highly addictive to the pilot with good stick and rudder skills. If you want a light weight fighter plane buy one.
Many thanks for the generous complements I recieved from my April EAA article. It was tough to go public about my addiction, but I have found lots of support amoungst my fellow aviators. LOL
I am looking forward to the next few months with great anticipation since we will be getting flight test feedback from our 0-200 powered Highlander and more info on the Aerovee powered Escapade. I am currently building an Escapade for anyone interested in a covered airframe give me a call. I will sell it at any stage from this point on so call if you want a tricycle Escapade.
With the price of gas climbing out of site the Light Sport market is HOT HOT! Where else can you have this much fun in an airplane for less the $20 an hour.
